Anthony founded 42 RDI out of a background in technology and project management, a combination that matters more than it sounds. Foundational research generates a great many promising threads and very few finished things. The discipline to run that work as a portfolio, cut what is going nowhere, and carry the rest all the way to something real is the difference between a research company and a very expensive hobby.
Widely believed and actually demonstrated are different things. We check which one we are looking at.
We do not decide the conclusion first. When the reasoning contradicts what we hoped for, the reasoning wins.
A promising result is not a result. We carry work to the point where it does something in the world.
We are deliberate about what we claim in public. When we can demonstrate it, we will.
